In November 2008 he was selected to attend Officer Candidate School. He graduated from Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, in the fall of 2004 and attended Basic Enlisted Submarine School and Sonar Technician Accession Training in Groton, Connecticut.įrom November 2005 to November 2008, Arca served as a sonar technician onboard the USS Olympia (SSN 717), based out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After several years working in retail, he enlisted in the United States Navy as a sonar technician. In 2002, Arca graduated from University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
